Not the most exciting of actions, but a most required one.
Well... it would have been a bigger triumph if the chase had lasted as long as I planned it initially... but this will do.
I primarily wanted to test out how time efficient and viable was the plan and polish method that I want to stick to going further. It sure helps for quality, and I like the result, but working on it is not quite as... entertaining. The great benefit of previous dailies is that things keep moving forward and I don't spend a week drawing a girl putting her pants on... Which is what happened here. Even if the motion is quite complex, I can see things getting out of hand, and even more so when more complex actions happen. And this is just up to the state of polished linework. It would be another day or two for coloring it properly.
And I faced a challenge I haven't had to deal with for a while, and that is keeping things on model. When polish gets higher, things tend to really stand out when proportions get out of whack. It has happened mostly between dailies in recent times, but it usually isn't noticeable since they are kind of separate, so not seen together. Sherry does have a reference sheet, but adding perspective and advanced motions and things get a bit out of hand, and extra effort is needed to keep things consistent.
I also am thinking of switching over to requests for a while for a change of pace, and a chance to try other things to work on, but a poll will decide on that.
